A beautiful quilt

This weekend my brother Matt and Sister-n-law Melanie were in town for Thanksgiving weekend. They gave us a special gift for Evan.

Melanie had it made. She got to pick out the different fabrics, and what stitch to use on each. It turned out beautiful!!
They both share our love for Paris!!

It goes perfectly in Evan's nursery!!

Happy 1st Thanksgiving

Well we had a wonderful Thanksgiving at Grandpa and Grandma Geer's house today! Evan was a happy boy and had so much fun meeting the rest of the family! We sure have a lot to be thankful for.

One Month!!

Well how about this!! Evan is 1 month old today!! Wow that went fast!

He's doing great! He weighs 9.1 lbs, can smile big, likes to make funny noises, try's to hold his binky, likes to play with Grammy Debbie, and loves his Mommy and Daddy!!

Answered Prayers

Wanted to update you all on how Evan is doing. Thanks to answered prayers he has gotten better in the last 24 hours!!! I think we have our happy baby boy back!!! He slept great yesterday and through the night. He isn't Colicky anymore and his stool has gone back to regular. His yeast rash has improved too.

He still has some monster spit ups. We think he has reflux but no acid pain so we don't need to use medication just wash more burp cloths!! We think the dairy and sugar in my diet the last three weeks has been the cause of his discomfort.

Josh was lactose intolerant so this makes sense to us. He is just like his Daddy!! :)

We are continuing to monitor him for changes. We are logging dirties and wet diapers, feedings, my food log, and a spit up log. Sometimes just when you think you have things figured out something new pops up!! So we want to keep tracking everything so we are prepared. Hopefully we don't need it.

So thankful he is feeling better! It makes Momma so happy!

Update on Evan, visitors and pics

I'm a little behind in blogging. Evan hasn't been feeling well this week. We have been working with the doctor and my Mom trying to figure out what the culprit is. We think its dairy but there could be other issues as well. He's not running a fever and his weight gain is good, 8.9 lbs last weigh! But he is crying a lot and spitting up large amounts. It's been hard on us to see him in so much pain.

We are hoping to get him into a baby chiropractor soon to see if that would help his digestion system. We are trying a probiotic and colic calm. There has been some improvement and I have been off dairy for three days now and I'm cutting out sugar too because he has developed a yeast rash on his hiney! Poor baby has had a rough week.
We will get this straightened out soon!! We hope! And in the meantime I may just lose a few pounds of this baby weight!

Here are a few pics of our visitors last week. We are missing some pics we didn't get with people. Jessica, Laura, Andrea, Lyndsay and Aunt Vicki we need to get a redo soon!

We will update you all on how he is doing once we know more!

First Mail!!

Well it's official! Evan got his first piece of mail in the mail box this weekend!!

And it was a postcard from Utah from Lollie and Pop who are vacationing there.

Happy Family

We are all doing good! Not too sleep deprived! Evan is happy and healthy and hungry!!!:)

Good Friday!!

It was a fun day of visitors, gifts, and meals!!

I am being spoiled by great friends, family, and neighbors and I love it!!

Kera and and the kids stopped by with a cute hat her Mom knitted for Evan. Then my neighbor Cristie came with lunch (it was delicious) and brought a cute picture frame from Nordstrom! Perfect for the newborn photos we had done yesterday. My other neighbor Monica came over yesterday with homemade lunch and dinner! I'm eating good!
Then the Eberlys came over and brought me dinner and a cute Turkey Day outfit and bib for Thanksgiving!!

I went and got the mail and the Ballards sent us a sweet keepsake block! I love it!!

We sure are lucky to have so much love and support from so many people!

I am over joyed today!!
