8 months!

This last Friday Evan turned 8 months old. Leading up to that and in the week since, he has grown up so much! In the last week it seems that each day something new and exciting is happening. The most amazing new thing is that he has SLEPT THROUGH THE NIGHT!!!!! It happened on his 2/3 birthday!! We won't forget that monumental date! And he has continued to sleep great the last few days.
He's also feeding himself lately. It is so funny to watch him grab and try new things, smash them into his mouth and then find half of it in his seat! He loves oatmeal and sweet potatoes, peas and carrots and has recently started to like fruit too! So it's been fun giving him a variety of things to try. He hasn't come around on bananas yet but I keep trying!:)
He stands at his play table by himself and has been starting to move around a lot more. He is a real wiggler now and he can sit and scoot in a circle. I'm sure crawling isn't far away.
He is just getting so big so fast! He has 6 teeth and another on the way. Before we know it he's gonna be flying around the house! His personality is so sweet too and he loves giving kisses and hugs. We are so in love with him--he is just lighting up our lives everyday!

7 months old!!

Today Evan is 7 months old and he's doing more than ever!! He's eating solids with the 5 teeth he has and one on the way! He loves veggies but fruit still isn't his favorite...yet. He loves sitting up and playing with his toys and watching his baby Einstein videos. His new trick is to duck his head down and back up like he's looking under something. He loves playing peek-a-boo and we get really into it! We like to see how big we can make him jump and laugh. He's very ticklish especially on those chunky thighs so we have ticklefest every night before we wind down.

He's growing like a weed and as always he's pouring out the smiles!! We are loving every minute and enjoying every new adventure with him!

Wedding weekend

This past weekend Saturday May 17th our sister Ariel got married and Evan joined in in all the festivities!! Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday he was going through his 6 month growth spurt and wasn't sleeping or nursing well. He didn't last through the rehearsal dinner on Friday night but by Saturday afternoon he was past it and was back to his normal happy, bubbly self just in time for the wedding ceremony!!
This is such a perfect age to attend a wedding. He's sitting up, still loves having others hold him, and full of personality. He had fun playing with the other 6 month old at the ceremony and he was a big hit on the dance floor late night at the reception in his pjs and headphones dancing the night away with his Aunt Ariel and new Uncle Chris Wallace!! So happy to have Chris in the family. He adores Evan so much and will be a great example for him.
We all had a blast and made some fun memories as a family. He got to meet his Uncle Michael and Gary for the first time as well and he enjoyed playing with Uncle Matt during dinner!
