Interesting side effect

This last week I have been waking up in the morning with tight sore hands.  The knuckles and bones ache.  After some moving and wiggling it goes away.  Sometimes when I get up in the middle of the night they are numb and tingling.

Since it has persisted, I looked it up today. It's carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS).  Yes, another great joy you can get during later part of your pregnancy. It usually subsides within a few weeks after giving birth.

It  happens to women that have a family history, back problems, have ever  broken their collarbone, whiplash injuries, or problems with your neck and shoulders.

I broke my collarbone when I was 3 years old and I have a curvature in my back.  Crazy how something I did that long ago affects my pregnancy 31 years later!

Im just happy it doesn't last all day.  It's only an inconvenience in the morning when you want to open a lid.  My pain is usually gone in an hour or so. Thankfully it happens the last two weeks of pregnancy and not the whole time!:)
