8 months!

This last Friday Evan turned 8 months old. Leading up to that and in the week since, he has grown up so much! In the last week it seems that each day something new and exciting is happening. The most amazing new thing is that he has SLEPT THROUGH THE NIGHT!!!!! It happened on his 2/3 birthday!! We won't forget that monumental date! And he has continued to sleep great the last few days.
He's also feeding himself lately. It is so funny to watch him grab and try new things, smash them into his mouth and then find half of it in his seat! He loves oatmeal and sweet potatoes, peas and carrots and has recently started to like fruit too! So it's been fun giving him a variety of things to try. He hasn't come around on bananas yet but I keep trying!:)
He stands at his play table by himself and has been starting to move around a lot more. He is a real wiggler now and he can sit and scoot in a circle. I'm sure crawling isn't far away.
He is just getting so big so fast! He has 6 teeth and another on the way. Before we know it he's gonna be flying around the house! His personality is so sweet too and he loves giving kisses and hugs. We are so in love with him--he is just lighting up our lives everyday!

Weekend at Lollie and Pops and Father's Day!

What a fun weekend Team Evan had!! Evan made his first trip to Lollie and Pop's house for a visit! We had so much fun splashing in the pool, jumping in the Exsco Saucer and playing with Evan's cousins Avery, Addyson and Blaine! Lollie and Pop even babysat for Mommy and Daddy on Friday night while we went out for a date night! Hallelujah!!! We got home late Saturday night after another successful 3 hour car ride and a quick stop at Dairy Queen!!!

Today was a special Father's Day for us as it was my first with Evan! He was really a Daddy's boy today. We played so much today and he was just the happiest little angel all day! Just in the last month, as much as he is a mamas boy, he has really started to be "in to" Dad! We play more and lights up even brighter when I come home from work or walk in the room! He and I are really starting to be buddies and it's the best!! I can't wait for years and years of special Father's days with Evan--we are surely going to make a lot of memories.
