Tonight was my first prenatal yoga class at IU North. It's taught by Mimi, she's a doula as well, and has been teaching Prenatal yoga for over 10 years.
It was a small class of 6 of us ranging from 18 to 34 weeks. Mainly first time Moms. I enjoyed talking with all the other Moms and getting to know them and discussing our pregnancies.
I have done yoga before but it's been awhile since I have done some of the moves and it felt different in this body. It felt great to stretch and loosen up my hips. My lower back is very tender. Mimi is bringing me Magnesium Chloride gel to put on my back next week to relieve some of the tenderness. I'm excited to try it.
This is a 6 week course and its really going to be good for me not just for stretching but breathing too and we learn techniques to use during labor as well.
Mimi also teaches Mommy and Baby yoga classes. I hope to bring Evan to some classes in October.

Doctors Appt
I got the results back today from my blood work and everything is normal! So no gestational diabetes and I am healthy!! Yay for the good news!!
I got my Rhogam shot and we listened to the heart beat. He is measuring at 28 weeks exactly and he weighs 2 lbs.
All seems well. They sent me home with information about getting the TDaP vaccine. I have done some research. Josh and feel I should do it. Josh needs to get it as well. It protects Evan against whooping cough, which can be fatal to newborns and infants. That vaccine can not be administered until later, so babies go unprotected and that's why most get it in the early months. By vaccinating me during pregnancy then my body can give Evan some of the antibodies he needs and hopefully protect him.
The CDC highly recommends that all people in contact with babies such as parents, grandparents, and baby sitters, etc get this shot done.
Normally, I am not one for vaccines. I'm cut from the same cloth as my mother! When they recommended the flu shot, I didn't get that. But after the research, this precaution seems to way out weigh the risk. Plus I get the shot and little Evan doesn't feel a thing!! I can handle that a lot better!! :)

Up All Night....
Well this started earlier than I expected! to didn't sleep much at all last night. Think I finally dosed off sometime after 3:30am. I couldn't get comfortable. I tried my back, sitting up, sides with pillows, it didn't matter. It was all uncomfortable.
And Evan was feeling the same way. He was moving and kicking like crazy until 3am. My belly was achy. I went to the Chiropractor yesterday for an adjustment and massage (which was glorious!) and when the doc twisted me on my side, I yelped! It sent a pain thru my belly that terrified me. My stomach muscles were crampy the rest of the day and thru the night.
So with Evan practicing his karate kid moves and my achy belly, well it was a rough night. I couldn't sleep in either. We had a Medical Examiner coming ay 8am to do our medicals for more life insurance. So that meant I couldn't eat all night while I was awake, and I was hungry!
I have an OB appointment today at 3pm. I have to do my glucose tolerance test and get my Rhogam shot. So no nap for this tired Momma!
I hope my test goes good! I'll let you know!

Birthday Gifts from Lollie &Pop[/caption]
I opened my birthday gifts from Mike and Jennifer (a.k.a Lollie & Pop) last night. Josh told them that I wanted stuff from my registry! I can't wait to read The Giving Tree to Evan, and put a cute picture of us in that frame that says Mommy and me at the top! And watch him play with his wooded elephant and put money in his little elephant bank! So cute!
Thank you so much! XOXOXO

25 weeks!
Happy 4th of July!! We are heading to the lake for a family fun day! Yes, I packed my sunscreen! No more burning!
This is week 25 by the original doctor date of October 13th, but last week at my 24 week check up she said that I was measuring at 25 weeks then. So going back to my Moms original due date she has for me. It's most likely Oct. 5th like we always thought. I'm staying on track with my weeks though with the doctors date as to not confuse myself. I kind of already am!! Lol!
I'm still feeling great! No craving or any changes in foods. He's moving around more and it's so neat to experience that.
We scheduled our bump photo shoot for Saturday, August 31st. I can't wait to see how big my belly will be then!! We are using Tiny Bird photography. My friend used her and she's great! She will also attend our birth and get some great special moments shots and then she will do our newborn photos. We are pretty excited to see what all photos we get.
Growing Momma!!:)
