Protective Instincts

I noticed I am already quite protective about things. :)

Josh thought it would be funny to text our Moms hideous names for the baby. Pretending like that's what we wanted to name our child. He tells me this while he is mid-text. I snap,"There's NO JOKING about the baby!! Delete that right now. That is not cool!" He said, "Geez, I was just trying to be funny, why are you so uptight, chill!"

I thought about it. I never care what he banters back and forth with people on his cell phone. What is my deal? Then it hit me, I'm being protective of the baby. Then I thought about it a few more seconds, And realized.....NO, I'm not!

I thought about our Moms getting that text, and taking him serious, and feeling uncomfortable with the name choice. I pictured them laying in bed, thinking of subtle ways to try and get us to rethink our baby name. Possibly losing sleep. Well, that's just mean I thought! You can't be stressing out the Mommas!

I'm a Momma now, and you don't mess with Mommas! So yes, I am being protective for us Moms. ;)

  1. Thank you, Timnah for being protective of us Momma's! But, it's ok if Josh wants to tease us. It is always good practice for us to keep a straight face and practice "not" commenting. Nothing but fun straight ahead for all of us!!!

    Love you,
    MOM
