We had a great first Christmas with Evan. Here are some pics to enjoy!

2 months

Wow that went fast! Evan is two months old today! He is 11 lbs 14 ounces and 25 1/2 inches long. He is cooing and smiling and so much fun to play with. He started grabbing and holding his rattle. We have enjoyed watching every minute of his progress. His favorite thing is his shapes book and we think his favorite color is orange because he lights up when he sees that color. His favorite thing to do right now is talk to Momma and today he looked more like Mom then ever before but he still favors his Dad the most!

Evan's First Christmas

Merry Christmas to you all! We had a very Merry one here! Evan had a great night of sleep on Christmas Eve and we all got up about 7:30 finally. Lollie and Pop, Great Aunt Tina, mommy and me and of course our little elf, Evan all had a very nice and relaxing morning. We did most of the gifts last night while Evan napped, but Santa brought Mommy a couple things last night so we opened those today. We made a nice French toast breakfast and had a late lunch as well. We are all napping a bit now and will be heading to Great Aunt Diane's for more family fun about 5 o'clock.

We truly are feeling blessed to have a healthy, growing, sleeping more and happy little boy. He is a miracle to us and we are so in love with him. His blossoming personality, the light in his eyes and his ever growing "vocabulary" bring joy to us every day. We are excited about what the next 12 months holds for our family!

6 weeks to bliss!!

Everyone told us wait until he's 6 weeks old for things to get better. Well last week he was 6 weeks. We were still having a rough time until late Thursday night he was nursing good and slept well. Then Friday night he slept 6 hours straight!!!
We felt like new people!! It was amazing! He is going back to sleep faster too. It used to take an hour after feedings to get him back down. Now it's more like I imagined it would be.
He is sleeping longer and taking more naps during the day. Evan used to not nap during the day much at all. Maybe 30 minutes. So now I am able to get a few things done.
It is literally like someone flipped a switch and everything is different. We are loving it. He's happy and healthy and we have been having lots of fun!

I'm not sure if its the chiropractor adjustments he has been getting or if its just that fact that he's 6 weeks but no matter we are just thankful!

Let's hope this trend continues!! I have Christmas presents to get wrapped!!:)

Date Night

It's been 6 weeks since Evan arrived and Josh and I are heading out to enjoy a date night!!
My Mom and I surprised him when he got home from work tonight. I'm taking my man out for a nice dinner and drinks!! My Mom is watching Evan for us!!

A beautiful quilt

This weekend my brother Matt and Sister-n-law Melanie were in town for Thanksgiving weekend. They gave us a special gift for Evan.

Melanie had it made. She got to pick out the different fabrics, and what stitch to use on each. It turned out beautiful!!
They both share our love for Paris!!
