Something New

The first year of baby's life really is so exciting for parents. Everyday there is something new that Evan does. From little things like eating fruit and yogurt now after trying it so many times and not caring for it, then one morning he decides it's delicious, to big things like pulling himself up! He now likes to sleep on his tummy, this is new in the last week and he will sit up from laying on his back! This makes diaper changes a bit more interesting!! Lol!

Everyday is so fun for me to see what new things he will do! I love that I am here for every moment of it.

A thankful Momma

A happy 1st 4th of July

This past weekend was so much fun with Evan. The 4th of July is always spent with family and friends at Heritage Lake and this year we got to bring Evan. Josh said he got a little misty eyed as he carried Evan down the steps to the dock for the first time as he has so many great memories of his childhood playing and skiing at the lake. And now it is his son's turn to explore the water and learn to swim, ski, and more.
Evan loves the water! Even though it was slightly chilly, he stayed in and floated in his raft and almost fell asleep to the waves!!
On the 5th we took him to the Symphony on the Prairie for the Patriotic Tribute and fireworks and again he was a champ! We kept him up late and he watched his first fireworks and loved them. He wasn't afraid of the loud booms. We had a blast with him. We look forward to the next year!
