Merry Christmas

This Christmas season has been so fun and special to us. We have been having a blast doing all the firsts with Evan. He was so brave and sat on Santa's lap twice and never cried!!

We are excited for Christmas morning as a family and to open gifts together. We got him a giant ball pit and a sit and spin as his big gifts. That should be endless indoor fun this winter!!

Holiday time!!

Evan is 13 months now and there are so any fun things to do with him this time of year! We enjoyed our Thanksgiving in town with family and kicked off the Christmas season that Saturday with a parade in the Zionsville village, followed by meeting Santa and riding the train at the State Museum the following weekend. He was so cute meeting Santa for the first time. He held his hand out for his hand then went in for a yank on the old man's beard just to be sure he wasn't a fake!! He didn't cry at all and sat on his lap even!

Happy 1st Birthday Evan

Today was Evan's official first birthday!! We actually started the celebration two weeks ago at PumpkinFest and had an awesome first birthday party for him. We had a tremendous turn out with 120 family and friends all there to cheer on Evan as he ate his first cake--homemade by mommy and made with love (organic and no white sugar!)
It was a beautiful fall day and we all had fun riding ponies, petting the baby animals, going down the hay slide, painting pumpkins, and riding the moo-choo train! Evan was showered with lots of fun new gifts! We just felt so thankful and loved by everyone that attended and sent cards to remember Evan. It was quite the celebration!

Today we celebrated again and once more had a warm and beautiful fall day. He and Mommy spent the day together taking a walk and giving him a fresh hair cut. Then we all went to the indoor park at church and dinner!

It's been an amazing 1st year with Evan. We remember welcoming him into the world like it was yesterday. He has filled our hearts with so much love and joy. We love watching him grow and change everyday. He can clap his hands, wave, say Dada & hi, climb stairs, turn the pages of the books, and so much more. It's just amazing how quick he grows!! We are excited for this year ahead and his first steps!!
It will be another adventure!!
